PAX
Multimedia installation, 2022
Independent production
PAX is a multimedia installation project with a spatial sound system uniting music, sound art, lighting and visual art in the form of an immersive, minimalist experience. It was presented for the first time in the exhibition hall of the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, in Montreal, from January 21 to March 12, 2022.
In the summer of 2022, PAX was broadcast in an exclusively sound version on the SAT, in Montreal, as part of the exit from Metalab residences. In November 2022, the project is presented as part of Composite 33 and, in winter 2023, it integrates the programming of Habitat Sonor, the new immersive listening room of the PHI Center, in an exclusively sound version.
PAX is an invitation to celebrate listening (in every sense of the word), meditation and contemplation by offering an immersion in the spirit and silence of a Benedictine abbey, in the heart of downtown Montreal.
PAX is a finalist at the Prix Numix 2023 in the In situ - Experience category.
